A useful fit for

A research-based candidate for a rider considering a full-face Bell MTB helmet, a manufacturer-documented Mips C-Solution design and a measurement within Bell’s displayed centimeter band; try the exact helmet on and verify the label.

The main tradeoff

Bell’s centimeter and inch chart columns do not reconcile exactly at every endpoint, especially the XXL upper limit; the manufacturer weight is only a size-M statement, and no head-shape or individual-fit result is documented.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does Full-10 Mips qualify for the finder’s Spherical/Mips requirement?

No. Bell names the Full-10 Mips system as Mips C-Solution, while its separate Full-10 Spherical page describes Spherical Technology powered by Mips and a ball-and-socket liner arrangement. The model name’s Mips word does not establish the narrower Spherical design, and neither description predicts an individual crash outcome.

Where does 57 cm fall in Bell’s Full-10 Mips chart?

Bell’s displayed centimeter rows put 57 cm at the shared endpoint of M (55–57 cm) and L (57–59 cm). The separate inch rows do not align exactly with all the rounded centimeter endpoints, so treat this as two chart possibilities to verify and try on—not a size selection or fit result. The observed configuration is M.

Does the exact Full-10 Mips page document CPSC compliance?

Bell’s exact US style-028 page lists CPSC along with ASTM 1952 Downhill, ASTM 2032 BMX, NTA 8776 and CE EN. This is a manufacturer model-page statement, not inspection of the physical label or a test by this assessment; verify the exact unit and instructions.

Is this a child-specific model?

The exact Full-10 Mips page lists sizes XS through XXL and standards but gives no age threshold or child-specific designation. The chart and size range alone do not show a child-specific fit. The child finder therefore does not include this model; verify age labeling and the actual fit with Bell rather than inferring youth suitability from the CPSC listing.

Start with the exact Full-10 version

This assessment covers Bell's US Full-10 Mips, style 100000001500000028, in the Solid Black / M configuration recorded on Bell's MTB listing (SKU BL-7174670, color route 5574). Bell's current US product page still identifies this style and lists XS through XXL. That supports treating the model as a current reference, but a page and size selector do not confirm stock, package contents or the identity of a particular seller's item. Match the style, color, size and SKU on the offer and on the helmet label. This is not the Full-10 Spherical: Bell uses a separate style number and a different rotational-design description for that model.

Its documented design is Mips C-Solution, not Spherical

Bell describes the Full-10 Mips as a composite-shell full-face helmet with three shell sizes and EPS liners. It names Mips C-Solution, while Bell's separate Full-10 Spherical page describes a unidirectional carbon shell and Spherical Technology powered by Mips. Those are meaningful model differences, not alternate names for one helmet. The Mips page describes C-Solution as its rotational-energy-management system; that does not establish the ball-and-socket Spherical arrangement. A shopper who specifically requires Bell's Spherical/Mips design should not treat generic Mips wording as a match.

Bell lists a manufacturer weight of 1,000 g plus or minus 50 g for size M. The observed configuration is also M, but this is still Bell's published figure, not an independent weighing or a value for another size. It is not evidence that the helmet is lighter, more protective or more comfortable than another model. Bell's product description also mentions optional pad sets, but does not identify their size, fit effect or exact contents of a third-party package; ask what is included rather than assuming a particular pad assortment.

Use the chart carefully, including its unit conflict

Bell's Full-10 Mips chart gives six centimeter bands: XS 51–53 cm, S 53–55 cm, M 55–57 cm, L 57–59 cm, XL 59–61 cm and XXL 61–63 cm. The recorded Solid Black configuration is M, and 57 cm falls at the printed shared edge of M and L. The chart's separate inch column ends the XXL row at 25 1/4 inches, about 64.1 cm, while the centimeter column ends it at 63 cm. Those displayed limits do not reconcile. This assessment uses Bell's centimeter column for the centimeter finder and does not silently enlarge that range; ask Bell to clarify if a measurement is above 63 cm or depends on the inch endpoint.

Bell's measurement instructions call for a flexible tape level about an inch above the eyebrows, repeated readings, and using the larger reading. Bell also says to size up when between sizes. These are starting points for trying on the exact helmet, not a diagnosis of fit. The page does not document a head-shape profile or an individual fit result. A circumference can fall in two adjacent chart bands without showing which shell stays level, avoids pressure or works with the rider's eyewear. Check the correct size, the chin strap, visibility and goggle position on the actual helmet before use.

Read the standards as model-page claims

Bell's exact US page lists CPSC, ASTM 1952 Downhill, ASTM 2032 BMX, NTA 8776 and CE EN. The listing supports recording a manufacturer CPSC statement for the model; it is not a label inspection, independent test or confirmation that a specific offer is the same US version. The Full-10 Mips page does not state an age threshold or classify this product as a youth helmet. Do not turn a standards list into child-specific fit evidence.

Bell's current recall page and the CPSC's 2025 Bell notice checked for this assessment name other model families and do not name Full-10 Mips style 028. That is a dated model-name screen only. It cannot establish the history, authenticity, storage or post-impact condition of an individual helmet, and it does not guarantee that a later notice will not appear. Check current notices and inspect the exact unit.

What the feature list can and cannot tell you

Bell describes its Thermal Exchange Airflow System as using intake and side/rear exhaust ports. It also lists a panoramic goggle port, an adjustable Flying Bridge visor, Magnefusion magnetic cheek pads with an emergency-release design, a removable washable liner and an integrated camera mount designed to break away. Those are manufacturer descriptions of construction and intended function; no airflow, temperature, field-of-view, camera compatibility or emergency-removal test was made here. Try the helmet with the goggles you plan to wear, confirm the visor adjustment you need, and check whether the camera mount and any replacement cheek pads are included with the exact offer.

Bell's general full-face bicycle manual warns that some helmets have removable chin bars and that a removable bar must be correctly reinstalled and checked. The Full-10 Mips product page does not say that this model has a removable chin bar, so the generic manual is not evidence that its bar detaches. Follow the instructions supplied with the exact Full-10 Mips rather than importing a procedure from another full-face model. Bell's page also does not provide a measured vent count, a head-shape fit, or a quantified protection result.

Who should keep it on a shortlist?

It is a research-based candidate for a rider considering a full-face Bell MTB helmet who wants a documented Mips C-Solution design and can verify the exact size and US label. Bell places the model in its MTB range and lists downhill and BMX standards, so our broad finder uses the trail / mountain-biking category; this is not a commuting, road or gravel recommendation. The page's lack of a child-specific classification also means the child option correctly does not include it.

Compare it with Full-10 Spherical only as a distinct product decision: Bell's Spherical page names a carbon shell and Spherical Technology powered by Mips, whereas this style page names a composite shell and Mips C-Solution. Similar family names and a shared nominal size-M weight do not prove identical construction or performance. If Spherical/Mips is essential, use the finder’s narrower design filter and read that exact model’s assessment.

Before choosing an offer, verify style 100000001500000028, the Solid Black / M SKU BL-7174670 when that is the configuration sought, the size band, the physical standards label, fit with the rider's eyewear, current notices, return terms and what pads or mounts are actually supplied. Bell's inch/centimeter chart conflict and the absence of an individual try-on are reasons to confirm details, not to guess. This assessment is based on manufacturer material and source comparison; no ownership, hands-on use, ride testing or personal measurement is claimed.
